Hellenic Cup – Round 1

The first round of the Hellenic Cup was played last night with two major upsets as two Division 1 teams were left out by Division 2 teams. In particular Doukas was eliminated in penalties by Aris Virona 4-3 while Aeas Pallinis lost at home to Olimpiada 1-4.

The remaining games went as expected with Platon overcoming Minotavros away from home 2-8, Ethnikos Asteras beat Ethnikos Pallinis 1-3, Kosmos overcame the tough resistance of Salamina 4-3, and Ilioupoli qualified over Gerakas 6-3. Athina ’90 and Iniohos will play their game next week as the home team is traveling to compete for the Futsal Cup.


Cup matches will resume on November 13th with round 2.
