Taipei International Invitational Futsal TournamentThe first day of the
Taipei International Invitational Futsal Tournament was opened by the inaugural match between
Taipei Select (a TPFA players selection) and the japanese side
Asahikawa. Though the local selection opened the scoring in the 15th minute, their joy was short lived as the 6th Japan Regional Championship holders leveled the match just one minute later. They added two more before the half time. The second part of the match was as entertaining as the first, but Taipei select started to show lack of concentration and the Japanese took full advantage by adding five more goals. In the dying minutes of the match Taipei select missed a 10m double penalty which summed up the day for them.
In a less lively match,
Chinese Taipei managed to brush a side a disappointing
Macau by two first half goals and then added a third one in the second half.
