The
Italian National team coach
Alessandro Nuccorini has announced today the official list of players who will attend the international friendlies vs Croatia (some changes will be done for the double match vs Iran). Many futsal fans will probably be surprised to see the legendary
Andrea Rubei back with the national team: though nothing was told about this selection in the past days, today the Italian Futsal Committee talked about a tribute to be paid to the impressive italian player, who will also become the new caps recordman playing both matches against Croatia. Rubei, almost 40 years old and still playing with more than worthy results in the italian second division with Office 1 Torrino, could reach the 89th match with the azzurri shirt as well as the 100th goal scored, overcoming another futsal legend like
Massimo "Pippo" Quattrini who played 88 times with Italy.
Through the Futsalplanet.com pages we wish to express our congratulations to the great
Andrea Rubei, who has definitely deserved to spend such a prestigious career during his futsal life.
