Iran's futsal team departs for Italy

Iran's futsal side headed for Rome Thursday to play two friendlies against Italy.

The Iranian team is scheduled to leave for Bari after a one-day stay in Rome and will array against the Europe's champion and world runner-up Italy on Nov 19 and 20.

Italy demolished Croatia 7-1 in Wednesday's friendly.

Iran, which is prepping for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, will also play the world futsal holder Spain in two friendlies in late December
