The National Futsal League Begins

PSSI (Football Association of Indonesia) would increase the national futsal development continually.

"The futsal development has to increase together with conventional football,” said PSSI President Nurdin Halid on the opening ceremonial 2006 national futsal league last Wednesday (22/11) afternoon at basket ball complex Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Senayan.

Nurdin Halid that accompanied by PSSI General Secretary Nugraha Besoes, Amateur League Committee (BLA) Chairman Subardi and National Futsal Committee President Cemby J Hutapea said the biggest barrier in develop the national futsal is the sponsor. That is why he suggested BFN to found a sponsor for national futsal league.

The LFN First Round arranged since last Wednesday (22/11) until next Friday (24/11) following by six team SWAP FC (Bogor), Produta SA (Bandung), Mastrans (DKI Jakarta), Electric PLN (DIY), Biangbola (DKI Jaya), and Cosmo FC (DKI Jaya), three matches hold in a day. On last first day SWAP faced Produta (1-6), Mastrans vs Electric (3-3), and Biangbola vs Cosmo FC.

The six Produta goals made by Ari Yulianto (1), Kenken Rohimat (2), Zaenal (1), and Arief (2), while SWAP lone goal made by Jaconias AA.

Three Mastrans goals made by Sayan Karnadi (2) and Ricardo (1), while Electric PLN produced goals through Hendra Kurniawan (1) and Socrates Matulessy (2).

Mastrans FC and Electric PLN players was on the National Futsal team last year ASEAN at Bangkok, Thailand where Indonesia played came as runner up after defeat by host team. (Adi/fa)
