UEFA.comBig names line up in futsal finalsUEFA Futsal Cup holders Boomerang Interviú completed the lineup for the inaugural final four competition in April as they won Group A to join Spanish rivals El Pozo Murcia FS, last season's runners-up MFK Dinamo Moskva and 2005 champions Action 21 Charleroi in reaching the showpiece.
First duo throughThe first team through were Murcia, triumphant in Group D in Budapest with wins against FC Dorozhnik Minsk and 2005/06 semi-finalists Kairat Almaty, which secured first place even before their Thursday meeting with hosts Futsal Club Gödöllö. On that day Dinamo, who have lost to Charleroi and Boomerang in the last two finals, held off the challenge of FC Shakhtar Donetsk to claim Group B supremacy.
Former champions advanceThe sole non-Spanish side to have landed the European title, Charleroi, have suffered financial problems since their 2005 triumph, but remain the only club to have participated in three of the five finals in the competition's history. A final-day draw against Clearex, to win Group C on goal difference, ensured they can still dream of a fourth. Two-time champions Boomerang topped Group A in Verona against Czech outfit CC LKW Jistebnik, MNK Split of Croatia and Italian hosts Arzignano Grifo C/5 as all four top seeds qualified.
Spring datesNext month, one of that quartet will be selected to stage the final four. On 26 April there will be a semi-final round, with the draw to be made in the host city in March, and the deciding matches for the title and third place will take place two days later, with Eurosport televising the tournament for the first time.
