Great news from Brazil, where the
Paulista Futsal Federation is already working in order to introduce a new competition which will be included in the worldwide campaign to see futsal included in the Olympic Games.
COPA DO SONHO OLÍMPICO FPFS is planning to organise the first ever edition of this new competition in the beginning of April 2007: it will be one way more to spread the word about the well known campaign
FUTSAL! UM SONHO OLÍMPICO - LONDON 2012, created by Marcos Diniz during the year 2003.
The idea is to invite 4 clubs from Brazil (three of them coming from the paulista federation and one from the Rio Grande do Sul state) and
12 clubs from foreign countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Iran, Japan and England).
The tournament teams would be splitted into four different cities and halls, with a final stage composed of 8 clubs to be played in the São Paulo region, with live television broadcasting.
Women futsal matches would be also included during the tournament.
