Libya best performing Maghreb team at Arab Futsal Championship

Libya is second, behind Egypt, the overall standings of the 3rd Arab Futsal Championships which kicked off last week in Tripoli. On Tuesday (January 16th), Tunisia defeated Lebanon, 8-7, but remained in 5th place due to previous losses to Libya and Egypt. Algeria is in last place, following 3 defeats by Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt. With one defeat by Libya and two victories over Algeria and Tunisia, Morocco is third. Morocco will play Lebanon on Wednesday, and Libya will play Algeria on Thursday. Six countries -- Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia -- are taking part in the tournament that will run through Saturday. (Futsal Planet, La Tribune, La Nouvelle Republic)
