Chinese national university futsal coaching course has been held in Wuhan from Jan 15 to 25. The former China national futsal team coach Guilherme Silveira "Farinha" was invited to stage this 10 day course, which was attended by about 30 coaches from all over the country. The coaching course was organised thanks to the the joint-effort of Chinese University Sports Federation and the ETOSports, the Beijing based Sports marketing company.

The 10 day coaching course was composed of the complete content of futsal techniques and tactics. It was considered by the participants as the greatest step towards futsal knowledge ever taken in China.

Course members were coaches of all the champion team from the 14 chinese provinces who worked in the Chinese university Futsal league over the past 3 years.

At the end of this event, all participants were definitely satisfied with it and showed their high futsal enthusiasm. During the course, a lot of "unanswered questions" on futsal emerged during the futsal league, were forwarded to Farinha in and outside the class, as well as all coaches followed in a enthusiastic way the exercised and games staged each afternoon.

In the upcoming weeks, the 2007 Chinese University Futsal league's preliminary stage tournaments will begin in different provinces. Course coaches showed great confidence to play on this annual futsal league and they hope that this kind of initiatives could be held often as there is a huge numbers of coaches who need to improve their knowledge. Furthermore, they began to realize that futsal is basic for university students as well as for kids in the primary and middle schools.
