Hungary to bid for futsal European championship

The Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) has decided to bid for hosting the futsal European championship in 2009, the federation announced on Thursday.

An ad-hoc committee has been set up to prepare Hungary's bid, chaired by MLSZ board member Attila Cs Horvath.

According to unofficial information, Hungary will compete with Croatia, Slovenia, Belgium and Bosnia-Herzegovina for the rights to host the event.
