York trip for futsal youths

PERTH Youth Futsal players are looking forward to a trip to the York University Futsal Tournament on February 24.

The group, will be attending the national tournament in York for the second year in a row.

Stephen Chatila, spokesman for Perth Youth Futsal, said: “There has been a big improvement in the quality of the PYF players, so hopes are high for an even more memorable trip this time around.

“There are still a few places in all the age groups, so if any new teams wish to participate, please contact us as soon as possible.”

Perth Youth Futsal are the only known youth futsal league in Scotland, and one of the first formed in the UK. PYF also has two adult teams in the Scottish Futsal League and both are currently joint top of their divisions.

The youth group are in the midst of its preparations for the fourth annual PYF Open to be held in April, while the group’s Spring practices and games continue at Bells Sports Centre on Friday evenings.


New general coaching sessions have started, and these are open to any boys and girls aged between 5-18.
