Gary Macbeth chief exec of the FPL has invited Carlisle Futsal Club to compete against the best Futsal teams in the country. The league fixtures are held at the top quality Gemtec arena in Hull.

CFC will find themselves competing against ex professionals footballers and current Futsal players with european and international experience.

Carlisle Futsal have the following goals in place:

To bring futsal to the whole of Carlisle by 2012
To have 3 representative teams including an academy in place by 2008
To create a Carlisle Futsal Academy
To use the CFC Futsal structure to create a representative team that will play in the national league.
To have the CFC team win the National Championships by 2012
To have a CFC futsal player representing England by 2012.

At this present time Futsal in Cumbria is virtually none existent. Carlisle Futsal Club will form Carlisles first squad. The county FA are organising more playing opportunities in 2007 through a league programme where the winners will represent Cumbria at the national finals in Sheffield. The winners of the finals will represent England in the UEFA Futsal Cup.

Until this time we will endeavour to coach and educate juniors in order to produce a high quality team which can compete with the best in the country. We will strive to increase playing opportunities for all through the successful establishment of competitive leagues and host one off invitational tournaments.

Our mission is to have a member of the CFC squad represent their nation on the international stage during or before the Olympics in 2012, where Futsal will hopefully be included!
