Few days ago the new season of the Georgian title holder
Iberia 2003 is started with the first training session. The team was extremely renewed with a south american touch, as there will be a new brazilian coach,
Joao Queiros followed by seven players from Brazil (only
Elias was in the team already in the past season, while former brazilian coach and players have left the club).
Important news also from the national market, where Iberia 2003 just signed the national team goalkeeper
Levan Zakaidze, back from the azeri experience with Araz. Another new entry is given by one more national team well known player:
Alex Dzabiradze, back from a short experience in the kazakh league.
We have to remind that Iberia 2003 can also count on national top players like
Giorgi Altunashvili and
Vakhtang TsereteliThe first aim of the club management is to take part in the international tournament
Novruz Cup 2007 in Baku (March 12th to 16th).
"We have a strong team and I look forward to make Iberia 2003 revalidate its title in the Georgian league, in the hope to take part in the UEFA Futsal Cup again, this time with the goal to reach the Elite round of the competition." declared a confident Joao Queiros.
