Futsal league kicks off with a fifth edition of thrills

FUTSAL enthusiasts looking for an opportunity to test their skills can sign up for the Milo Cup – Sports Barn Futsal League 2007, with prizes totalling RM10,000 up for grabs.

Organised by the Sports Barn, together with Nestle Milo, the tournament will be held every Sunday night from Feb 25 to May 27 at its PJ futsal court. Each team can register a minimum of five players and a maximum of 10 players for the fifth edition of the tournament.

The League tournament is limited to 24 teams only, divided into four groups of six teams for the round-robin stage.

All teams participating in the Milo Cup - Sports Barn Futsal League 2007 are automatically qualified to play in the FA Cup.

FA Cup matches, which runs simultaneously with the League, will be played every two weeks on a knockout basis.

There are also prizes for the FA Cup Champion and Loser's Pool Champion. Individual awards will be given to the Best Player and Top Scorer, while the team that best demonstrates Fair Play will be rewarded with a trophy and hamper.

Entrance fee is RM699.90 per team. The deadline for submissions is Feb 22.

The tournament draw will be on Feb 24.
