EIU soccer plans Futsal clinic

CHARLESTON n- Eastern Illinois men’s soccer is set to play host to an inaugural Futsal clinic for area youth grades 1-8 Sunday afternoon at Lantz Fieldhouse.

Futsal is the latest indoor soccer training option utilized by five-time World Cup champion Brazil.

The clinic costs $5 with proceeds benefiting the men’s soccer program.

The clinic is to start at 1:30 p.m. for grades 1-4 and 2:45 p.m. for grades 5-8.

Participants are asked to bring indoor gym shoes and a soccer ball.
