Angola: Federation Rescinds Contract With Coach

The Angolan Futsal Federation (FAFUSA) has rescinded the contract with the national five-a-side football team coach, António Leal, ANGOP has learnt.

According to the source that provided the information, in the coming days FAFUSA will meet to choose the new coach, aiming at the third edition of the Futsal World Cup, which will take place in the Baías de Monte Gordo locality, in Algarve (Portugal).

In last year's edition, also held in Monte Gordo, Angola finished third in the competition, after Portugal (champions) and Croatia (vice-champions).

In the 2005 edition, held in the same country in the region of Evora, the Angolan national ream ended in the second place, a competition that was won by Portugal.

The event is jointly organised by the Portuguese Football Federation, the sports events promotion company "Castro Brothers" and the Town Council of Vila Real de Santo António.
