Interesting signals from Women Football FIFA seminar held in Zurich

FIFA.com
Interesting signals coming out from a FIFA.com report which was referred to the different seminars held by FIFA between February and March. During the Women's football instructor seminar, which took place in Zurich on March 1st and 2nd, was proposed the introduction of the Women Futsal World Championship, as the extract we report below clearly shows:

..."the introduction of a futsal world championship for women - although before such a competition could be introduced, member associations would need to attend to the fundamentals;...

Though is obvious that this is quite far from turning into something official, especially due to the fact that the greatest part of national association would be probably not yet ready to start with the women futsal activity, there are no doubts on the fact that the introduction of such a prestigious competition could give a huge impulse to women futsal, as it deserves. It would be one more step ahead after the introduction of the South American Champs, celebrated for the first ever time on November 2005 in Barueri (Brazil), with the second edition expected to take place on next August.
