No chances for the italian club Arzignano Grifo to take place in the prestigious Intercontinental Cup in Portimao (Portugal). As the tournament days were matching with the 25th round of the italian league, the national committee didn't allow the club to postpone their match in Reggio Calabria, so that Arzignano was forced to renounce to take part creating some troubles to the organizing body. Every problem was anyway solved with the announce of an Angolan club, Toyota, to replace Arzignano and finally represent African futsal.
