With six points from three matches, Vietnam finished second behind Thailand and is scheduled to take on Australia Friday.
Against Myanmar, Vietnam twice took the lead in the first half only to trail 3-2 at the break.
But in the second half, the team began to move slickly, creating space. Soon it drew level at 3-3 before going ahead in the 26th minute.
In the 28th minute Aung Moe scored to level 4-4. Myanmar’s goal scoring came to a halt there while Vietnam scored two more to wrap up the match.
Vietnam had earlier beaten Brunei 6-0 and lost 3-13 to host Thailand.
