-> Click here for a full list of leagues (pdf)The principles upon which the qualification process for The FA National Finals has been determined are as follows;
The FA wishes to have the best Futsal teams in the country represented at the 2007 Finals.
Direct qualification has been given to those Futsal Leagues that have been in operation for two or more years and who have produced qualifiers for the Quarter Final stage of The FA Umbro Futsal Cup in 2006.
The strongest League in the country – FPL South Conference has been given two direct qualification places. The Southern Conference has also been awarded the right to enter the team finishing third in a competition into the Second Qualification Round. The FPL Northern Conference, London (Hackney), and Sheffield League have been given one direct qualification place plus the right to enter the team finishing second in a competition into a Play Off competition.
First and Second Qualification Rounds are required to determine the qualifiers for other places. Winning teams from new leagues will be entered into the First Qualification Round. For leagues that have run previously but not produced a finalist or their finalist was withdrawn from last year’s competition they have been entered into the Second Qualification Round.
For Futsal teams that are playing in more than one qualification league and qualify from more than one league, the Second Qualification Place will revert to the team finishing as runner up in the higher level league.
The FA reserves the right to revise the qualification process for the National Finals if;
a) A league fails to operate to the required standards as identified previously. In the event of a league defaulting on its obligations The FA will consider awarding the qualification place to another league or a new league.
b) If a qualifying team fails to honour its play-off commitments The FA will consider identifying the most appropriate substitute.
First and Second Round Qualification Tournaments
The first round of pre-qualification tournaments need to take place on the weekend of 9 and 10 June 2007 with the second pre-qualification tournaments taking place on the weekend of 16 and 17 June.
The FA will identify the most appropriate venues for these tournaments to take place. League Organisers should ensure that their competitions are concluded in time so that teams are available for these play off dates.
There is no flexibility to rearrange play-off tournaments. Please make teams aware from the outset of the dates of the play-off tournaments and the National Finals so that they are prepared for these commitments.
