N-Day Futsal Championship

A PRIZE presentation to winners of a futsal championship organised by Kampong Bukit Beruang National Resettlement Scheme Mosque was held on March 30.

Organised by the mosque's management committee, the championship was in conjunction with the country's 23rd National Day. Among the objectives of the championship is to encourage the community, especially youth to foster closer relationship and promote cooperation and teamwork.

Sixteen teams participated in the tournament.

A religious talk to commemorate the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also held. The guest of honour was Hj Jamain Momin, Acting Tutong District Officer.

Talk to mark Maulidur Rasul


The Kampong Danau Mosque yesterday held a religious talk in conjunction with Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday anniversary for the year 1428 Hijrah.

The function was organised by the Tutong District Youth Council and was conducted by the Persatuan Angkatan Melayu Danau in cooperation with the Mosque's Takmir Committee. The guest of honour was the president of the Tutong District Youth Council.

Briefing on padi planting

A briefing on paddy planting was held for residents of Kampong Ukong, aimed at promoting the activity among the villagers, particularly the youth.

On hand to deliver the talk was Awg Muda Yusran, an officer from the Agriculture Department.

Through the talk, the Department of Agriculture hopes to enhance and develop padi planting among the people in Kampong Ukong.

School's Athletic Meet

The Eighth Inter-House Athletic Meet for Sayyidina 'Othman Secondary School will be held on April 12 at the Penanjong Garrison Track Stadium.

Events to be competed in the championship include 100 metres for Men and Women; 4x400 metres Men and Women; 4x400 metres for Teachers; 4x100 metres for Women Invitation; 4x100 metres Men Invitation and 4x400 metres Invitation.

he guest of honour at the sports meet will be Awg Hj Abd Aji Hj Ishak, Deputy Head of the Special Education Unit, Ministry of Education.
