Airports wins Club Maldives Futsal Tournament

Male', MALDIVES - Maldives Airports Company Limited beat Customs by 4-1 in the final to lift Club Maldives Futsal Tournament 2007 (CMFT). This event is considered to be one of the biggest Futsal events in Maldives.

Customs got numerous chances to score with first division players like Ali Umar and Ibrahim Fazeel at the heart of the team.

According to the rules of the tournament, only one first division player can play at a time.

Airports' games was controlled by VB sports player Niyaz.

After the match, the best five players were announced and MTCC was awarded with fair play award. The chief guest of the final match was TVM's CEO Mr. Ali Khalid.

The support from staff of participating offices and pre tournament preparation from participants show the importance of having proper Futsal courts in Maldives. At the moment there is no standard futsal courts in Maldives, but Maldives national futsal team has been participating in the continental tournaments and is yet to grab a positive result.
