Georgian Futsal Association General Secretary Mr.
Beka Kvitsiani today officially informed Georgian media about some friendly matches that the local national team will play in September and October.
The first task will be held in Romania with two games already scheduled, then Georgia will face England on October 24th and 25th.
Beka Kvitsiani added: "
One year ago Georgian National team had
just 5 official friendly matches and that was a very poor experience before taking part into the UEFA 2007 qualifying round in Malta.
We have therefore decided to play more with both A and Under 21 teams. We are looking also for Belgium to visit our country in this year and we have contacted Dutch futsal as well for friendlies to be played in January or February 2008.
Right now the only problem is given by the absence of the national team coach, as David Sologashvili resigned after the Malta qualifying round.
We will soon send more invitations to national FAs of Croatia, Serbia, Portugal, Spain and more countries in order to host them in Georgia for friendly matches. Finally, we're also looking to host the US national team this summer in our contry."Posted by
