B’Zangkas gun down Cincai FC

B’ZANGKAS were the cream of the crop as they beat Cincai FC 2-0 to emerge champions of the 140-team strong Milo Hidup Bola futsal carnival at the Sports Planet Ampang on Sunday.

B’Zangkas proved their resilience by winning the first of the Under-16 14-leg carnival and their reward was a cash prize of RM1,000, Milo Hidup Bola commemorative futsal balls and a set of jerseys and balls from Figos.

B’Zangkas and Cincai, who won RM800 and other goodies, also qualified for the grand finals on July 22.

MindaMahir FC took third spot, beating Sains Boys FC 1-0. Both teams received RM600 and RM500 respectively and also qualified for the grand finals.

To promote futsal, a coaching clinic followed by a friendly, saw SRK Seri Setia Kuchai Lama beating Academy Sri Labuan 1-0. The Under-12 friendly will be a common feature in the remaining legs. The next leg will be held on Saturday at the Malacca Sports Planet in Taman Teknologi Cheng. Entry fee is RM50 per team.
