Biangbola reach the Indonesian Futsal League title

Biangbola FC (Jakarta) has conquered the Indonesian Futsal League first ever edition, after having defeated Mastrans (FC) Jakarta 2-1 in the Grand Final, played on Sunday night (15/04/2007) at the Basket Hall Gelora Bung Karno Jakarta.

That was a surprising result, as Mastrans were the supposed winner especially due to the fact that Biangbola was missing two key players like the goalkeeper Abu Bakar and Denny Handoyo (suspended).

Besides Mastrans were considered the strongest club, counting on former national team majority players such Vennard Hutabarat, Ricardo Polnaya, Sayan Karmadi and Robby Hartono.

Achmad Syaibani silver goal at extra time (44') gave Biangbola the Champions status after the two teams closed 1-1 in regular time.

During the first half Mastrans took the advantage thanks to a goal scored by National Team member Ricardo Polnaya (11'). Biangbola dominated the ball possession in the second part of the game, with Safarudin (35') equalizing the score.

Electric PLN (Yogjakarta) won the 3rd place final overcoming Cosmo FC (Jakarta) with a 10-7 score.
