Malta in Sicilian tournament

The Malta National Futsal team will be taking part in an international tournament between April 28 and May 1, 2007.

The event, Primo Torneo Internazionale di Calcio A 5, 'Trofeo del Mediterraneo', will be held in Catania and, besides the Maltese team, there will be six other participants.

These are Polisportiva Universal Mister Bianco, Rappresentativa Siciliana, Rappresentativa Emilia Romagna, Spar Puntese U21 Rinforzata, Olimpia Mascalucia and Ficarazzi 2000.

This will be the first time that the Malta Futsal team will be taking part in an overseas tournament.

The competition will be staged over preliminary rounds, followed by the semi-finals, third-place match and final.

The squad, under the charge of coach Michael Striz, will be as follows:
