19 years old Playas de Castellon Australian player, Tobias Seeto, has been called by coach Scott Gilligan into the Senior Australian National team that will take part in the Asian Championship starting on May 13 in Japan.

Toby came to the attention of Playas officials after participating in the club's annual Futsal coaching camp in July last year. He was part of a group of young players from the Dural Warriors club who travelled to Spain to be coached by some of the best professional Futsal coaches and players in Spain. He was offered an extended trial and after impressing the coaching staff he was offered a position at the club.

He's been training with Playas senior squad with includes 6 current Spanish, Brazilian and Portuguese internationals as well as Brazil's former captain, Andre and 2 former Spanish world cup stars.

Toby plays for the club's Youth team that recently won the Spanish Youth Cup and has played some games for the senior team in regional competitions. The highlight so far has been his debut for the senior team in the LNFS, Spanish National Futsal League, against Azkar Lugo, making him the first Australian player to take part at that level of competition.

He's been a NSW junior state representative for many years and travelled to Brazil as part of the NSW Academy tour in 2002. Toby will fly out to Japan on Sunday May 6 to join the rest of the Australian team in preparation for the forthcoming tournament.
