As confirmed in the official web site of the brazilian coach,
Fernando Ferretti will be appointed as
Paraguayan National team coach during the next
Panamerican Games in Rio de Janeiro. Ferretti won't leave his current club
Malwee/Jaraguà (now involved in the Liga Futsal) but will travel one week per month (in May, June and July) in Asuncion in order to guide the training sessions. The aim of the brazilian trainer is to reach a medal in the prestigious games, in which futsal will make its absolute debut.
In the meanwhile the current Paraguayan national team coach
Francisco Carosini, as reported by
Diario ABC Digital went to Spain and Italy in order to evaluate which players, between the "european" ones, will be available for the tournament in Brazil.
Also, Carosini is keep on working with the "local" players, having scheduled some friendlies and training sessions. Here is the last roster announced.
