Tangkas 1 RBAF Futsal Champions

Bandar Seri Begawan - Tangkas 1 (RPK) emerged champions in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Futsal Carnival Championship final held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas on Wednesday night.

Tangkas 1 beat Air Force One 3-1 in a penalty shootout after both teams were levelled 1-1 at regulation time in the final. Pendekar Laut were third after defeating Viking 6-5 also in a penalty shootout after a scoreless game.

The meet was held in conjunction with RBAF's 46th anniversary and it was the first time RBAF has organised such an event.

The guest-of-honour Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, the RBAF Commander presented the prizes to the winners. The teams received awards and mock cheques of $100, $150, $200 and $300 and souvenirs. As the first place winner, Tangkas I received the Futsal Carnival Championship trophy.

UC Shahrin of Tangkas 1 (RPK) was the top scorer with eight goals and Endy Vyzuny of Air Force One was the best player.
