Futsal finals match schedule

An encounter between Portugal and Italy is sure to be the highlight of the opening day of the 2007 UEFA European Futsal Championship - the first of 16 international ties.

Porto's impressive Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar will be full to capacity on 16 November when the hosts start their campaign against the Azzurri. The nations met early in the 2005 event as well, with Italy running out 8-3 winners. The second day of the tournament will be no less interesting with defending champions Spain going up against Ukraine, the team they beat to lift the trophy in 2001. Other matches to look out for will be the holders' showdown with Russia, who they saw off in the 2005 showpiece, on 21 November and the meeting of old rivals Ukraine and Russia two days before. The 2007 champions will ultimately be crowned on 25 November, after the final game of what is set to be the most competitive UEFA European Futsal Championship to date.
