Iran opened accounts in the 4th minute through Mohammad Hashemzadeh and scored six more goals in the first half and eight in the second half, Malaysian News Agency Bernama reported.
Malaysia obtained their only goal in the 28th minute.
With the win, Iran who have won the cup seven times in a row, moved closer to the quarter-finals after beating Lebanon in their first match.
Group D comprises Malaysia, Iran, China and Lebanon. In the other Group D match, Lebanon beat China 4-2.
The championship at the Gymnasium Park in Amagasaki, Kobe, involved top 16 Asian teams.

After losing 0-2 to China in their opening match yesterday, it was difficult for coach P. Balakrishnan's men to qualify for the quarter-finals.
