War’s 15 Generasi FC best in Sarawak

WAR’S 15 Generasi FC and Tabuan Jaya Sports School, emerged as the top two teams from the 5th leg of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival and qualified for the Grand Finals to be held at Sports Planet Ampang, Selangor on July 22.

The 5th leg, which was held at the Sarawak Sports Centrer in Kuching, Sarawak, over the weekend, saw 70 teams, far exceeding the targeted 48, compete.

The final was keenly contested which saw War’s 15 Genarasi FC beat Tabuan Jaya Sports School 3-1. Third position went to Gang Eight FC who beat Nurbia FC 5-1.

A good number of the competing teams were formed by parents and coaches from football academies and residents associations.

The top four teams pocketed RM1000, RM800, RM600 and RM500 respectively. The teams also got Milo Hidup Bola Figos futsal balls and jerseys.


Ng Ping Loong, sports marketing manager of Milo, said: "We are very happy with the good response.

"I am confident all State entries will exceed our targets which augurs well for the development of the game.

"The response for the remaining nine legs is also overwhelming and about 70 per cent of the entries of the remaining legs have been confirmed."

The 6th leg will be held at the Sunway Sports Planet,Subang Jaya,Selangor, on May 20.

Entry fee is RM50 per team.
