The final will feature the battle of the East and West teams at Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil in January next year.
Malaysian National Futsal team manager Hamidin Mohd Amin said five Asian countries -- Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Malaysia -- will battle against world-class teams -- world champion Brazil, Argentina, Spain, England and France.
"In the crossover semifinals, two teams from each block will face each other. The final will feature the best of Asian and the western team," he told reporters.
Hamidin said the event would be jointly hosted by ESPN, the world's leading sports cable television station, and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
"Discussions are still in progress but we are confident the event will be staged in mid-January next year," he said.
The inaugural KL World 5's was held at Putra Stadium in 2003, with 12 teams participating.
They are Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, England, Uzbekistan, Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Guatemala, South Africa and host Malaysia.
Argentina beat Brazil 3-2 in the final.
