Pro Star on a high in Kangar

PRO Star edged Padang Pauh FC 2-1 in a keenly contested final of the 8th leg of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival at the D’ Futsal Centre in Kangar over the weekend.

Fifty-two teams competed in the under-16 tournament which exceeded the target of 48.

Teknik Kangar FC beat Dynamic FC 1-0 in the third-fourth play-off match.

The top four finishers took home prize money of RM1000, RM800, RM600 and RM500 respectively. The teams also received Milo Hidup Bola commemorative futsal balls, a complete set of jerseys and balls from Figos, the official ball of the event.
A 45-minute coaching clinic followed by a friendly match between two Under-12 schools preceded the main event.

SK Behor Empang ‘A’ beat SK Behor Empang ‘B’ 4-2 in the friendly match. Both teams also received Milo medals and hampers.

Milo Sports Marketing Manager Ng Ping Loong, said: "We are very happy with the huge response to this Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival.

"The fact that teams from as far as Perak, Penang and Kedah competed is an indication of its popularity."

The 9th leg will be held on Saturday at the Alor Star Sports Planet, Alor Star. Entry fee is RM50 per team.
