Klang Valley academy clubs sweep the board


A UNIQUE Under-12 futsal event involving 24 teams comprising children of mixed races was held over the weekend at the Bukit Jalil School Hall.

Klang Valley academy football clubs Jerung Sifa ‘A’ and ‘B’ and Gen Pro ‘A’ and ‘B’, enjoying immense support from parents, emerged as the top four teams.

Jerung Sifa ‘A’ beat Gen Pro ‘B’ 2-1 on penalties in the final following a 0-0 draw.

Gen Pro ‘A’ defeated Jerung Sifa ‘B’ 5-0 to finish third.

The teams, besides taking home cash prizes of RM300, RM200, RM150 and RM100, also won medals, Milo products. and Figos balls and jerseys.
Suhaimi Sun Abdullah, vice-principal of the Bukit Jalil Sports School, said he was pleased with the good response and glad he was able to promote the sports school with the competing children and their parents.

A photo exhibition of the sports school’s achievements over the years helped motivate the children in their pursuit of excellence.
