On June 8th the Georgian Futsal & Beach Soccer Association General Secretary Mr. Beka Kvitsiani officially announced that the Georgian National Futsal Team will play two friendly matches vs Brazil on 13th and 15th October 2007. Immediately after that the team coached by the newly appointed Petre Tabukashvili will take part in the Grand Prix 2007 tournament (16th-27th October 2007).

General Secretary Beka Kvitsiani declared: "I'm very glad, for our association playing vs Brazil is a great honour and we had to face many difficulties to arrange our travel in South America, thanks to the help of Mr.Fernando Fernandes (CBFS).
It will mean a huge experience for us, as right now Georgian squad count on young futsal players. We have just 3 or 4 players with good international experience (Mundialito and UEFA qualification).
I'm sure that our new coach Mr. Petre Tabukashvili will be ready for this competitions, he has a proved experience started 12 years ago. We count on him on forming new players for Georgian Futsal. Finally I'd like to thank the web portal Futsalplanet.com for their 10th year of life and their help to our futsal committee in organizing our trip to Brazil."

During the next week, Georgian National team coach Petre Tabukashvili will stage a training session in the UREKI city.
