Since its formal inception in 2002 SAIFA (Futsal South Africa) has been largely ignored by its controlling body, SAFA [South African Football Association].
Due to these reason SAIFA's members had to take drastic steps to change the situation for the advancement of Futsal in South Africa. On the 10 May 2007, Futsal South Africa filled an application against SAFA in the High Court of South Africa. This culminated in victory Futsal South Africa [SAIFA].
The following persons constitute the members of Interim Organizing Committee for Futsal in South Africa:
1. Mr
Mubarak Mohamed. The chairperson of the Interim Organizing Committee for indoor football in South Africa and also the current vice president of SAFA.
2. Mr
Poobie Govindasamy who is the current president of Futsal South Africa [SAIFA]
3. Mr
Jay Reddy of SAIFA
4. Mr

5. Two more members from SAFA, still to be appointed
