Leading futsal teams to come for tournament

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will host the Kuala Lumpur World 5's Futsal tournament for the second time at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil in January next year.

The top five futsal-playing nations in the world – Spain, Brazil, Argentina and France, England – are expected to converge in KL while the organisers are also inviting other teams from Asia like Thailand, Indonesia, China and Vietnam.

Hamidin Mohd Amin, the deputy chairman of the futsal committee of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) said the event would be a boost for futsal fans.

Argentina won the last tournament staged at the same venue four years ago when they stunned Brazil 3-2 in the final.
