Daily ExpressSepanggar Umno Youth Futsal Challenge this Sunday 21 June, 2007Kota Kinabalu: Teams are invited to take part in the Sepanggar Umno Youth Five-a-Side Futsal Challenge to be held this coming Sunday (June 24).
The meet jointly organised by Election Commission and National Anti Drugs Agency is offering attractive prizes to winners in the meet to be held at the City Futsal Centre, Menggatal.
Sepanggar Umno Youth Chief, Mohd Joh Hj Wid said the competition is open to all. "Each team must have 10 players."
He said during the competition, Umno members would also be registering new voters.

Daily ExpressOpen trials to be held June 24 21 June, 2007 Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Football Association will hold open trials to select State players for the National Invitational Futsal Championship Felda-FAM 2007 next month.
Sabah FA executive secretary, Harry Baking said the selection is open to players from throughout the State and will be held at the Suria Futsal Indoor Centre on Sunday (June 24).
"The trials will start from 9am until late in the afternoon," he said, adding that Sabah will be sending two teams to compete in the tournament scheduled for August 10-12 at the Melawati Stadium in Shah Alam.
"Sabah FA and the Sabah Women Football Association will be selecting their own group of players.
"For the men's team Sabah FA will be holding trials on June 24 while the women's squad will be decided by the Sabah Women Football Association later," he added.
Harry said they are looking for a squad of 12 players to represent Sabah, but for this first phase of trials, they will be selecting about 20 players.
"After the open trials, the selected players will undergo another two phases of trials before we trim and decide on the final squad.
Harry said those interested can register themselves with Sabah FA representative Junaidi Ahmad Fauzi and Amsir Abdullah at the trials venue on Sunday.
The national tournament offers a total of RM220,000 in prize money with the champions of both the men's and women's division standing to win RM50,000 each.
The runners up will pocket RM30,000 while third and fourth placed teams will settle for RM20,000 and RM10,000 respectively.
Sabah have been drawn in Group C alongside Maksak, Perak and Utusan in the men's category while in the women's division Sabah are drawn in Group B together with Felda A, Johor, RTM and Armed Forces.
