National Team Leaves For Competition In Portugal

Luanda. The Angolan five-a-side national team will leave this Monday evening for Portugal, to participate in the 3rd edition of the World Championship (Mundialito) that will take place in Monte Gordo, from 04 to 09 July.

The country`s delegation, headed by Tito Matamba, who is a member of the Angolan Futsal Federation (FAFUSA), is made up of 13 people, eight of whom are the players.

The eight athletes will join the other Angolan players that perform in Portuguese teams and who have also been called up for the national squad.

Before the competition, the Angolan squad will undergo training sessions in the Portuguese city of Setubal, which include some friendly games.

Angola is in group B of the Mundialito, with Hungary, their first opponents, and Croatia.
