So Cal Futsal Academy Women Repeat as 2007 US Futsal Federation National Champions

Anaheim, CA, July 15, 2007- So Cal Futsal Academy (SCFA) Women's Open and Girls U/19 teams repeat as US Futsal Federation National Champions during this past week's United States Futsal Federation (USFF) national tournament held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.

SCFA women's open team won their 4th straight US National Championship defeating the women from the Southern Maryland Futsal Club, 4-0, in the championship match. SCFA won the US National title in 2004, 2005, 2006 and now 2007 to give the club 9 US National Championships since it's founding in 2003.
The SCFA Girls U/19 team also repeated as US National Champions and has won 3 USFF National Championships in the past 5 years.
"The competition was the toughest we've seen" said SCFA director and head coach Garett Hoshijo, "these Nationals really challenged the women to find a way to win and keep the national trophy with SCFA, the teams were the best in years."
So Cal Futsal Academy was founded in 2003. It's academy program conducts leagues, clinics and camps for futsal in the western United States. SCFA has won 9 US Futsal Federation National Titles, including consecutive Women's Open titles in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
