Twins star in football final

FOOTBALLING twins Jenna and Leah Rogers played a starring role in the success of the Selby United Ladies Futsal team who reached the final of the FA Women's Futsal Plate competition before going down 4-2 on penalties to Myerscough College.

It was an agonising way to finish after coming back from a 5-2 deficit just five minutes from time with Emma Knowles and the Rogers sisters on target.

Jenna had earlier bagged a magnificent seven goals – the most scored by one player in a single match – as Selby whipped Salford College 10-2 in the semi-finals. Ex-Sheffield Wednesday player Laura Humphries (2) and Knowles were the other scorers.
