CONCACAF teams to compete in Futsal Tournament at 2007 Pan American Games

22.7.07 - CONCACAF teams will compete at the inaugural Futsal Tournament in the 2007 Pan American Games from 23-28 July at the Riocentro Pavilion Sports Complex in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Futsal Tournament at the 15th edition of the Pan American Games has four CONCACAF representatives Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala and USA competing against with four CONMEBOL teams of Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Paraguay.

Cuba and Guatemala in Group A along side Paraguay and the hosts, Brazil, while Costa Rica and the USA are in Group B with Argentina and Ecuador.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on 27 July. The third & fourth place teams from each group will also compete on 27 July in the consolation games with the fifth & seventh place matches taking place the next day. The bronze and gold medal games are set for 28 July.
