Daily Express NewsState futsal team to compete at National C'ship this weekend 07 August, 2007 Kota Kinabalu: Sabah will be competing in the National FAM-Felda Futsal Championship this weekend.
The meet to be held at the Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam from Aug 10-12 will see Sabah competing against 12 other teams.
"We have been training over the last two months and I am confident that Sabah will give their best," said team manager Felix George, adding this is the second time the State is taking part in the championship.
"Apart from training, the team have played various friendly matches against Sabah's top futsal teams namely Labukina FC, Sri Sempelang FC and Luta FC," he said.
Based on these matches, he feels Sabah team would be capable of springing surprises at the championship.
The ten players in the Sabah team are Khairul Jipdi, Sufianzah Sumasse, Johney Masulok, Azman Soaibah, Akas Osman, Rosmadih Wasli, Ardi Sida, Faisal Ismail, Herman Abdul Latif and Safar Mohammad.
