Rich rewards the lure to bring out best from teams

THERE is an air of excitement for the first ever National Futsal Championship Felda-FAM 2007 which kicks of today at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam.

With a total of 45 teams taking part, the inaugural meet will bring out the best in the teams as they will be vying to win total prize money of RM220,000.

"The Felda Futsal is the biggest event that Felda is organising and naturally, we are all excited about it," said Mohamad Ibrahim, the tournament director, yesterday.

The winning team stand to win RM50,000 with the runners-up taking home RM30,000. The third-placed team will earn RM20,000 and the fourth RM10,000.

The tournament will be officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak tomorrow.
