USA Futsal from Salt Lake City were crowned national champions in July, during the USFF finals (Open Category) of Anaheim (we have to remind that USFF is not more part of the US Soccer Federation).
On July 15th was celebrated the final match between the title holders of
World United and the brazilian troop coming from the Utah Soccer Academy. The national champions seemed ready to revalidate their title, winning 3-0 until the mid part of the second half. The turning point of the match came with the introduction of
Renato Lopes (former Verona, Lazio and Milano in the Italian league) as advanced goalkeeper. That produced the impressive poker of
Jair (in Italy indicated as Dalle Molle), brazilian pivot involved in the italian second division with Canottieri Belluno, and the consequent victory of USA Futsal. Thanks to this triumph USA Futsal will now have the chance to play in the next Intercontinental Cup.
