According to the latest news coming from Russia,
Spartak Moscow has asked AMFR to take part in the Russian second division (Vysshaya liga) for the 2007/2008 season. Russian fans will now have to wait until September 10th, when the Executive Committee meeting will take place: until this day no official decision will be taken. It seems anyway sure that Spartak Moscow won't be replaced in the Superleague, so that only 13 clubs will fight for the gold medal.
In the meanwhile the Russian Superleague keep on running, with the second round opened yesterday by the impressive victory (thanks to the last minutes of the match, after a balanced first half) of the national champions of
Dinamo Moscow over the past season runner up
Viz Sinara (details below). The Yuri Rudnev's guys are looking forward to revalidate one more title, after the unforgettable 06/07 season which culminated in the national league and UEFA Futsal Cup triumphs. In order to do that, the
Konstantin Eremenko's club called on the expert brazilian
Edu (former Spartak Moscow and recently playing for Teresopolis in the Liga Futsal 2007, during a short appearance with the
carioca club). Also, the prestigious club from Moscow called back in Dinamo the former Norilsky's pivot
Serguey Ivanov, while one more important new entry was given by the ex
Spartak Shelkovo's player
Badredtinov. On the departures zone there are mainly three names:
Malychev signed for
Norilsky Nickel, while the ukrainian
Kudlay and the brazilian
Henrique moved to
Spartak Shelkovo, though the serious injury of the South American player will probably last for a relevant part of the season.
