The new season started in Italy as well, with the entertaining Supercup match between the title holder Alter Ego Luparense (ready to face its second experience in Europe, after the past season appearance in the Recopa Cup) and the Cup Winner Montesilvano.

The Fulvio Colini's (suspended for this match) team was definitely close to the triumph (though missing some key players like Dudù and Julio Romanini), when appeared an impressive Alexandre who scored the 3-3 tie after registering a lot of decisive saves during the match. Finally Jocimar and Vampeta closed the match in favour of the home team.
