Ford is new sponsor of Maltese Futsal champions

Maltese Futsal Champions, Jeepers FC, have agreed sponsorship terms with Ford, represented in Malta by Gasan Enterprises Ltd.

Mr David Gasan, Managing Director of the company presented the sponsorship cheque to Jeepers FC secretary Christopher Borg and to the club president Richard Busuttil.

The Jeepers officials thanked Mr Gasan and revealed their next season target to challenge again for the championship and knock-out competition.

Jeepers FC was formed in 2002 and gained promotion to the domestic top Futsal division, organised by the Malta Football Association, just last year. They won the league title and recently represented Malta in Sweden, in the prestigious UEFA Futsal Cup. Jeepers FC striker Zeljko Anicic was also voted Best Futsal Player at the last annual MFA awards.

Futsal is five-a-side football played on basketball-sized courts, officially recognised by UEFA and FIFA. It is undoubtedly the fastest growing indoor activity presently in the world. A record of 67 teams have applied so far to take part in the next MFA Futsal leagues, commencing shortly in October.
