Titans contest Futsal on coast

VICTORIOUS in the latest round of the National Futsal League action at Moe, the Bendigo Titans will be aiming to climb the ladder after this weekend's matches on the Gold Coast.
The Titans have bolstered their attack with the inclusion of Sam Gower, one of the leading strikers in the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League in recent seasons.

The recruitment of Gower followed Xavier Clayton's departure to the US to begin a soccer scholarship.

In their 13 matches the Titans have achieved a win-loss record of 9-3 and drawn one match.

Bendigo's line-up has struck 74 goals and conceded 27 in the fast-paced indoors action.

A goal from this weekend's seven matches is to climb the ladder and keep the pressure on Ballarat Stallions and Newborough Power.

"The Gold Coast Spartans will be tough to beat on their home court,"

Titans' captain Rhys Clayton said.

"We play them and Newborough in two matches this weekend."

Other hit-outs will be against City United Thunder and Robina Varsity Lakers.

On court the Titans have Jack Gwynn in goal, with Sam Robertson and Rhys Clayton playing key roles in defence, and youngsters Brent Baldwin and Jackson Clayton add plenty of run and skill.

They all excel at the outdoor game as well.

The three days of National Futsal League action kicks off Friday night at Bond University.
